Do we need to book the seaweed baths pre-arrival?

The seaweed baths are for guest use only. You can either book on arrival or during your stay with us.

Is seaweed bathing a new trend?

Seaweed bathing is Irelands only indigenous wellbeing therapy and has been used for over 300 years as therapy for a variety of skin and rheumatic conditions.

What benefits has the oil from the seaweed?

The oils from the seaweed have been having truly remarkable effects on skin, hair and body. The antioxidant compounds found naturally in this seaweed have long been known to have pronounced anti ageing, skin conditioning, repairing and hydrating effects.

Is the water hot or cold?

Warm water is used for the baths, but if you prefer cold that can be an option.

Can you use the baths when pregnant?

It is advised not to use the baths when in first trimester (up to 14 weeks) of pregnancy and at a cooler temperature if in second/third.

How long can we stay in the baths?

The session is for 50minutes, but you have 90 minutes in the garden area to relax and enjoy.

Can I have a bath if I just had surgery?

No it is not recommended 6 weeks post-surgery
